The FCC today announced its plans for the upcoming 700MHz spectrum auction. Neither Google nor the big telecoms are totally happy: the FCC failed to adopt Google’s proposed ideas, but did support at least two kinds of open access that AT&T and Verizon aren’t very enthusiastic about.
